Individuals of Style - Paris alternative Denim Update. Paris street style View2

Individual of style - Parisian Streetsyle - for him and for her....

Unisex styling - something for him and for her.
There has been a lot of discussion  recently over the future of unisex or androgynous styling. Is it something that is just a flash in the pan?

Something form the female wardrobe of Gucci, but never possible to translate into menswear?
Well it looks like we have achieve the right balance.....but it has to be about keeping it simple and uncomplicated.
No pussey bow necklines, no fancy pattens unless they are on the inside, and even in some cases, no buttons to confuse the situation is it a mens coat or a women coat?
No, this is the blanket coat revolution.

Now when its cool for her, it can also be cool for him.

- 50 shades of grey.
- Classic simplicity
- Long and super long coats
- Plus a signature of sophisticated simplicity.
You need to be prepared this winter it is a clear must have- the his and hers wool tweed duster coat.

Thanks to  Segolene and Alexis for taking part..... Enjoy SRx

Individuals of style - Benoit- Camouflage rediscovered. Paris street style View2 Magazine.

Is camouflage in revival mode or did it just never die?
Reinvention is the name of the game, with classic codes being revised by the luxury designers, it is quite normal (maybe with too many images of war) for us to revisit the military standard Camouflage....

Dries Van Noten show room manager Benoit has the right balance between casual chic and modern style.
Benoit is here with his season-less favourite (Dries) coat, a clever mix of 'bomber jacket' style and long trench style  - top coat.
I personally hope that this is soon reissued!
A new addition on my new seasonal must have list - yes please!

Individuals of Style - Punk is not dead... Marie - Paris Street style. View2.

Meet Marie, a gaming professional who has followed her passion right to the bitter end.....
After years of playing in her spare time and doing the right thing, studying, "proper job" and keeping her private life private, Marie, stepped out from the mainstream into the world of video games marketing!
Now that's what I'm talking about. Make it happen!

Who said that dreams never come true?

Individuals of style - Maxime Sculpture student at L'ecole des Beaux arts Paris.

This Sculpture student, has a personal project inspired by love..

Maybe there will be the tweak of cupids arrow at the final presentation.
But where there lays pleasure there can also be pain, the risk of misinterpretation.....
Maxime is prepared for that risk, with his cheeky smile!

Who knows what he has conjured up in his private atelier....?

Will it be an elegant representation such as a sensual presentation of Rodin or something more expressive or distorted and abstract perhaps as distorted as a Picasso?

But I am sure that love will find it's way to influence its reception......

Projects from the heart can often expose an element of risk....
......too round, too small, too wide....

An artists impression is often personal, and not always the same interpretation as the viewer.
Contrary to the camera - "which never lies", Art can sometimes distort the truth!

Street style Paris - Passion for Fashion

What are the insider tips for creating your own style?

Discussions are growing at the moment in the fashion circles about the end of "trends" and seasonal trend statements, but there is always an energy around creatives with a personal style.
People who create their own look, when we have enough making the same theme of statements this is what gives life to trends!

These have to be the new statement in trends and how they develop.
These are the people we pass everyday that have a little twist, a discrete something that reminds you , next time make a little more effort!
It reminds you of a discarded item that you weren't sure about...
Something that you bought and then couldn't match...
Something you may have in your wardrobe that could give you the same type of twist on your own look..
Yes that's it....!

An oversized scarf....
A simple iconic black blazer....
White basketball high top sneakers..

Black on black is one of the "must do" looks of the moment, but it is the combination of black items  with seasonal must have items that tell the story.....

-Yes, we are back on track... it is that magic word "Trend" again, linking us to individual items that give it that extra twist!

So make up your own mind, are trends really over?

Maybe we just need a new name?

marion is one such person, Her favourite doll icon necklace expresses a loose individuality and a beautiful personal touch.

Of course the coat is a key item for our transitional lifestyle, but we especially love the revival of the Dr Martens creepers with a metallic two tone twist- are the socks really matching or is that just a co-incidence?!

Amsterdam Kingpins denim lovers: The details of Ron Sanders

If we look at what makes real denim passion, it has to be an overflow of energy and positive vibes and Ron had this in huge amounts!

He decided that today was his day of icons. So that made it easy for me to trend spot him at Kingpins  Premium denim show in Amsterdam.

Usually, I need to warm up my street style targets, to draw out their fashion passion or interesting stories but Ron was really clear about his denim motivation.

He loved his G star jacket because of its workwear and tailored influences, he deliberately loves to mix his denim colours "because that's what he feels is right at the moment."

The combination of super dark denim and bleached light shades.
His particular twist is the sanded beige tint wash, colour mix, and of course the selvedge denim details in the jacket add that element of premium identity!

Hand finished taped edges, Utility pocket details -

Thanks for taking part. Enjoy SRx
