Killer Pieces - Paris Street Style.

Caroline is rocking her mini Pork Pie hat, which continues her sense of fun and humour.
This international jet setter, with her Prince charming, stood out as a couple on a fashion mission.
Tonal dressing is the new look of style Gurus, but it is always important to mix some fun and humour into the look.

Her Adidas x Jeremy Scott sneakers definitely transform her look into a sporty 'fashionista' with a strong sense of the outrageous!

Stay on top of your game, enjoy SRx

Killer pieces for the season SS2015 Paris Street Style.

Killer pieces for the season always has a slight paradox.

What is on trend now with our fashion opinion leaders, will of course inspire our fashion followers of tomorrow, that's the natural progression of trends.
Thus becoming both a current trend and a trend inspiration - A killer piece!

So in this case the killer piece is the HAT.
........and as the saying goes - If the hat fits, wear it!

The hat continues to be a killer accessory and the more often we take those bold style steps to put one on, the more natural it becomes. Can you imagine the day, when it will really become so mainstream no one would dare to be seen without one?
Or that the new originators of style will go without it?

Anatole - dancer, model, creative illustrator and fashion entrepreneur.

By connecting his artistic passion to his love of cycling, he has launched his own line of t-shirts.

According to him, his T-shirts express the mentality of urban movement and a vintage spirit!

Good luck and keep the dream alive!

Paris Street Style - Trend concept Modern Disorder

In the latest edition of View 2 (Denim, Casual, Sport) trend magazine, you will discover my
Paris Street Style report, highlighting 2 trend new concepts. Modern Disorder and Style Mavericks.

After style hunting in the 'buzzing' corners of Republique, Le Marais, Le Sentier, Chatelet and Bastille, I met and selected these 10 "Individuals of Style", to represent my concept

"Modern Disorder".

A look signified by the clash of modern minimalism and a rebellious, fashion protest.

It was the anonymity behind their style that attracted me to them, with their representation of individualism through long shapes, cocoon, volume, and a blend of Rick Owens avant-garde style and the current buzz around sportswear crossing function, fun and catwalk fashion.
Vivre le urbanist attitude, vivre non-conformism!

Paris Street Style - by Sidney Rhule in View2

Revolution Blue

It is deep, it is passionate, it is bringing a new colour mood into our tonal dressing mix.
I am calling it the Revolution Blue.
With Spring 2015, just around the corner, I want to highlight some inspiring colours to challenge the monochrome mood of black and white.

Meet Revolution Blue.

Thanks to Dong Thanh Tran, and Sandhora for spreading their Blue Passions.
Enjoy, SRx.

Northern European style- The Urban Casuals.

Introducing Yvonne.
The True stylist.

As she is a Visual Merchandiser for a top retailer-
(she wanted to keep it discreet, so its probably quite exclusive, either this or its connected to her Nordic roots ...... maybe Hennes and Mauritz..... who knows!)

Anyway.... she has the skills to mix her urban utility to make a feminine version of her male counterparts!

The result is a perfect harmony of these three hipster buddies, city surfing around the streets of Amsterdam.

But really, here would these guys have been without their complimentary female rider to soften their look!

Who says its a man's world....but it would be nothing, without a woman or a girl!

Thanks for taking part, enjoy SRx

From Switzerland to Amsterdam in style.

The Northern European Style. Is this look exclusive to Northern Europe? These Hipsters from Switzerland are definitely supporting this statement, as they blend, seamlessly into the Dutch canal streets, in the search of design inspirations and cool discoveries.Their back to basics colour and style code of urban utility in dark blue, khaki and black would confirm that they were true Hipsters. Almost as clearly as their cool accessories and specially groomed beards! Can we now say that Hipsters have become a timeless classic? These guys were as passionate by their bike culture as the fashion style, they even brought their bikes with them from Bern, to be sure that their rides stayed pure!
Manuel is part of the generation of DIY creators. He does not call himself a designer, he feels more connected to engineering and making things happen. But he is definitely fashioning his future

He Believes in quality that is made by hand. The clean leather straps and clean welding parts on the bike are a testimony to his craft. Plus the custom made parcel rack on the front of his bike are his own design and made by him from sustainable bamboo.

The cropped duffel coat, combines well with an urban mobility rucksack and a customised
'Fixed wheel' special!

Marcel combines his style with a classic twist.

Thanks to Marcel, Manuel and Yvonne for stopping and sharing their passions.
I hope that you enjoyed your Amsterdam days!

Enjoy SRx.

Thanks to all of you for taking part, I hope that you enjoyed your days SR

Revolution Blue pt 2

The Revolution Blue continues, with a worn in authenticity.

Amsterdam -Denim, Quality, Style statement.

The look is a typical statement in understated quality.
At the Amsterdam Kingpins show this look highlights a classic revival.
A look combining a smart white shirt, combined with Ruud's casual mood is definitely in the 'Blue Blood' of Amsterdam. A denim message that is crafted from quality and a 'no nonsense' approach.

Ruud Van Esch, Denim Developer wears 'Pure Blue Japan' jeans, just 10 months old.

"I love these Jeans, I'm 'wearing them in', so I've been putting them on everyday since I bought them! I think I will keep doing this until I'm bored."

From talking with like minded contemporaries, who also believe in total dedication to the wearing in process.....
A tip for a non wash 'home dry cleaning' is to fold them in half then......
...Put them in a bag and put them in the freezer overnight. Then brush off the dirt in the morning!

The style message here, is a sartorial nonchalant one, carefully selected traditional materials and heritage items, a classic Gloverall style Duffel coat with heavy construction, made from fabrics which mature with age, an inspired choice towards longevity and simplicity

But the power of this look is in the footwear.
You can always tell a mans style statement by his shoes. The right sturdy boots are always a good indication to someone who appreciates the world of hand made quality.

Thanks to Ruud for taking part and sharing his passions.
Enjoy SRx.

Street Style Paris - Green is the New Black. Pt 3

A designers eye is often the catalyst for a new style trend. We can connect this statement to our Paris Street Style, when we met with Duy Gu Ay. A designer with hew own collection who is originally from Munich, who is now based her design studio in Paris.

In our series Green is the new Black, she illustrates the versatility of our green trend direction in an urban casual direction.
But of course we can still spot her feminine fashionista passion, when we catch sight of her Celine mini handbag.

A very talented designer with an elegant vision.

Thanks for taking part enjoy SRx

Green is the New Black. The Great Coat.

Jeremie and his great Coat. Green is the new Black

Enjoy and thanks for taking part.
SRx

Street Style Paris, Green is the new Black. Pt2.

The 'great coat' debate is clearly making its mark here.

Fall Winter 2015 will definitely be about the long coat. For men and for women.
It is going to emphasise the masculine wardrobe style.
The great coat is making a come back, the longer the better.

Add double breasted details for volume and keep the styling inspired by the classics.

As we move on in our colour statements we take small steps from a 'Black on Black' message, as it will be the new Green that pushes the boundaries of creativity.

Jeremie is already on trend in his long, protective coat with a twist in the military classics.
Remember to keep a powerful collar and wear it loose to enhance the volume trend.
Nice trick with the pashmina, like this you can still keep the coat open for maximum impact!

Jeremie and Tobias have their style statement completely worked out and extremely complimentary as well!
Thanks for taking part. enjoy SRx

Street Style Paris - Trends FW15 Green is the new Black. Pt 1

My recent 'Street Style' portraits in the 'Le Sentier' neighbourhood of Paris, confirm the influence of the colour green as an upcoming trends.
Here we see the colour playing a relaxed and elegant role with a cool Boho twist.

Soft tailored coats, stylish oversized pullovers, fedora hats and leather skirts are all key elements on FW15 fashion hit list.

Cecile, all the way from Sweden has a stylish, international business future in front of her. With her mind securely into her studies at the famous Dauphine, school in Paris, she is quietly changing the way we think of international decision makers. Business and Politics never saw such a trendy ambassador!

Thanks for taking part.

FW 15 Trends - Green is the new Black.......

It is probably fitting that my first blog of the 2015 responds to the seasonal question..... what are the new trends?

It is one of those questions that pops up quite a lot, and needs an equally 'pop up' answer.

The pop up answer is embrace and Alternative Modernity!
Grungy -Alternative - Minimalism and moving towards urban techno sports look.

A symbolic step - Protest - without the attitude.
Long - Volume - Fluidity.
I'll show more on this  later!

.......Deciphering trends is becoming increasingly intricate these days, with so many reference points and of course it has to be about creating curated answers which become easily digested small bites. you can see some of these on my Instagram account:

We all have a thirst for information that can give us a fashion advantage!
One of the first statements I want to bring is about a new colour development.

The new green shades.
We can start to say that there are now a few challengers to the colour black.

These are especially linked to a return to the combination of natural materials and an urban modernity and an increased attention to rich leather, sheepskin and soft suede for next winter.
As a result Green is spreading through many fashion predictions as a key colour on trend.

It is still growing so it is not yet as strong as black, but if you already have that black
'Bomber Jacket'- I would suggest you start to think about investing in a green version.

Bomber jackets long coats, urban parka coats and a new utility style, express themselves best with these green shades.

You can also see this in my 'Leather colours report", which was launched last September 2014, on the www.pantoneview.com trend forecast site.

I believe in promoting Green as an important leather colour for FW2015.
Especially as it makes up one of my 5 top colour trends including of course Black, a new Rose Gold, soft Grey, Luxury Neutrals, and deep Mysterious Purples.
It will be one of the strongest fashion colours of the Fall Winter collections- so start planning your camouflage inspired wardrobe with a modern twist.

Thanks and enjoy the series. Green is the new Black.
